The couple who loves live music — music that is present and alive with skilled musicians playing with sensitivity to the moment unfolding.
The couple who walks down the aisle to Metallica and Canon in D (and it sounds perfect and not at all strange because of our signature lush string sound).
The couple who wants the luxury of having an extended member (that’s us!) of your wedding planning team — our incredibly thoughtful, thorough, and detail-oriented approach to being an asset to you and your planner.
Ceremony Music: Prelude + Ceremony (1 hour)
PRELUDE MUSIC
As your wedding begins, guests hear the lush sounds of our string quartet or trio as they take their seats.
Some of our clients choose Classical music for an elegant start to their wedding. Many others choose to put together a meaningful mix of modern songs (popular choices include everything from "Unchained Melody," "A Thousand Years,” to "La Vie en Rose”).
CEREMONY MUSIC
As you walk down the aisle, you hear a beautiful arrangement of "Can't Help Falling in Love" or the classic "Canon in D" and the atmosphere resonates with the rich sonority of stringed instruments. As you reach the altar, the music fades.
You may want to hear music during another part of your ceremony. Envision us playing "Ave Maria" softly during a candle lighting ceremony.
As the ceremony ends and you are announced, we start playing the celebratory "trumpet" fanfare to "All You Need is Love."
Ceremony + Cocktail Hour (2 hours)
COCKTAIL HOUR
This part of the wedding is completely customizable. We tell our clients to create a playlist of songs they love. Everything from Sinatra, Ed Sheeran, and Drake to The Beach Boys.
Or, you can leave it up to us, and tell us to stick to one or more genres of music. We can create a great playlist for you with songs that we know audiences enjoy hearing.
ROCK STRINGS: ADD A DRUMMER
If you chose to have one of our string groups (string quartet or string trio) for your wedding ceremony, you can always choose to add the drummer to our quartet or trio for cocktail hour.
The drummer adds an extra layer of rhythm and energy to our string quartet or string trio.
